African Guarantee Fund COVID-19 Business Continuity

In the face of the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, African Guarantee Fund for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (AGF), continues to implement key safety measures in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 infections. As an organisation, the safety and security of our staff, partners and stakeholders is our topmost priority.

We are closely monitoring the development of the situation and are following all rules laid out by the World Health Organisation and respective governments across the continent. Amidst the current challenges, AGF is ensuring business continuity and has facilitated all staff to work remotely. Our teams continue to help our partner financial institutions with their transitions to less stable economic environments.

Given our current working conditions, all our interactions with our stakeholders, partners and service providers are now electronic. As we turn to holding all our meetings virtually, our research and due diligence processes continue apace, and the operations of the African Guarantee Fund go on.

As a risk management company, members of our teams are sharing an expertise that is relevant to addressing the financial and economic consequences of the current crisis across industries. By helping lending organisations through this period, AGF is supporting SMEs navigate a rapidly changing situation and forge the best possible responses to adapt effectively.

We hope and expect that tomorrow will be brighter, in part, because of the work we are doing today with most of you.

Please stay safe and healthy.
